Lindsay Kemp, artist, mime, choreographer and dancer, died peacefully in his house in Livorno, Italy. During his long artistic career he worked with the likes of Nureyev, Fellini, Ken Russell to David Bowie.
The William Walton Trust wishes to pay homage to this great artist, remembering the wonderful choreography that Kemp imagined for the ballet Façade by William Walton, with scenography by Lele Luzzati, in the production presented by the Teatro Nuovo of Milan in 1983.
The photograph, from the William Walton Archive, shows Lindsay Kemp's company in stage costumes for Façade.
